  • Transportation Assistance

    Our transportation program helps you get to your cancer related appointments. We offer a door-to-door service for clients who need rides through our volunteer driver program. For clients who choose to drive themselves (or family/friend as driver), we will reimburse the client mileage to and from appointments.   • Accommodation Assistance

    SCCR clients receive discounted stays at various hotels close to hospitals in Winnipeg and Brandon to make those stays for treatment more accessible. We can assist clients with a portion of their costs if requiring accommodation.

  • Lymphedema Program

    Our Lymphedema support program offers financial assistance to help with the costs of Lymphedema massage through a certified therapist or the purchase of Lymphedema garments.

  • Wigs and Head Coverings

    Conveniently located in the SCCR office, Hope Haven provides a wide range of wigs and head coverings for clients to borrow, helping them feel empowered, self-assured and confident.  To visit Hope Haven, please contact us to make an appointment.. Learn More

  • Skin Screening Clinics

    Our Skin Screening Clinics promote a proactive approach to your well-being. Through our partnership with a dermatologist, we provide comprehensive skin screening to identify and address potential skin caner concerns.   These clinics are offered at no cost and are open to the public.   • Radon Awareness and Testing

    Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas that is found naturally in the environment and can increase your risk of lung cancer. Radon can enter your home through cracks or gaps in walls or the foundation. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, 24% of homes in Manitoba have radon gas levels higher than Health Canada Standards. SCCR is dedicated to raising awareness about radon and its associated risks, if you need help locating a test kit please contact us.

  • Wellness Programs

    SCCR is dedicated to offering wellness programs to support our clients in achieving optimal mental, emotional and physical health throughout their cancer journey.

    We strive to support our clients in feeling their very best throughout their cancer journey. In collaboration with Shear Bliss Salon, we are able to offer our clients a range of services such as free head shaves, nail services and wig/skincare education. More about Beautiful You!

    Balance and Strength

    SCCR wants to empower our clients to take control of their journey and recovery by embracing exercise as a powerful tool to regain strength and unlock mental and physical potential. About Us

In 2003 SCCR was created to help support individuals with cancer and their families in South Central Manitoba by striving to provide information, transportation, head coverings, services, education and resources they may need on their cancer journey. SCCR relies on the generous support of community donors, volunteers and fundraising to continue to offering their programs and services.
