We just wrapped up our Volunteer Driver meetings for the year. It was a great time getting to know each other, have a question and answer time, and get to hear why each driver chose to volunteer with us. These meetings also gave the staff a chance to relay the many words of appreciation that we hear from our clients here at the office. There are so many heartwarming stories of drivers going above and beyond.
In 2023, we spent over $220,000 on our driving program. Of that, over $55,000 was spent on our volunteer driving program alone.
Our Volunteer Drivers and Coordinators are an integral part of the success of this program. Many of our clients don’t have a support system and wouldn’t be able to get to and from appointments without them. These drivers selflessly give of their time to take complete strangers for treatments and appointments. They are life changers!
