BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED!

October 3, 2022

SOUTH CENTRAL CANCER RESOURCE NEEDS YOU!

South Central Cancer Resource (SCCR) is currently recruiting Board Members and we need you! If you have either personally had cancer or had a family member/friend that has been touched by cancer, then you understand the challenges involved in navigating a cancer journey. Financial woes, the need for emotional support, the desire to learn more about cancer and much more. The Board of SCCR works diligently to provide many programs and services. We strive to improve the lives of our clients and their families throughout their battle with cancer.

Board Members may be asked to attend events that support SCCR if they are available. These events may include: Carman Curl for Cancer, Mike Pritchard Memorial Golf Tournament, Rocking W Ranch Memorial Barrel Race, Legends Car Rally, Fuel Good Day, Smile Cookie Campaign etc. Attending these events is most rewarding and offers the opportunity for Board members to promote the work of SCCR.

We are looking for individuals who care about others. If you are interested in becoming involved but are not 100% sure if this is the right fit for you, we invite you to attend a Board Meeting, with no strings attached. You are welcome to come observe and hear what we are doing and planning. Board Meetings are held monthly in Morden (or via zoom if needed).

SCCR is a local community based, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide support, information, resources and education regarding cancer, cancer prevention and screening to individuals living in the service area.

Currently SCCR only has 6 board members, and we are looking for at least 6 more! Board Members are needed from Cartwright, Miami, Manitou, Lariviere, Altona, Plum Coulee, Emerson, Morden, Morris, Letellier, Gretna, Roland and any other communities served by SCCR.

Please consider this request. WE NEED YOU!

Please contact our office at 204-822-9541 or visit our website www.sccr.mb.ca for more information! To apply online visit the “For Volunteers” page.
